Embracing Autumn and Growth at Denmore

As we welcome the beautiful season of Autumn, our nursery has been filled with excitement and colour. The children have been enjoying the changing scenery outdoors—collecting leaves, exploring nature, and observing the signs of the new season. Autumn offers so many wonderful opportunities for curiosity and discovery, and we’re looking forward to incorporating these into our learning experiences throughout the coming weeks.

Welcoming Prospective Families

This month, we’ve been delighted to welcome prospective families for visits and show-arounds. It’s always lovely to share what makes Denmore such a warm, nurturing, and engaging environment for children to learn and grow. If you know of anyone looking for high-quality childcare, please do encourage them to get in touch to arrange a visit!

Staff Wellbeing

At Denmore, supporting our team’s wellbeing remains a key focus. We continue to hold fortnightly wellbeing check-ins to ensure our staff feel supported, valued, and heard. A happy, motivated team helps us to provide the best possible care for your children.

Staff Updates

We are pleased to welcome Saffie to the Denmore team! Saffie has completed all her core training and is now working her way through our 12-week induction programme. She has made a fantastic start and is already building lovely relationships with the children.

We would also like to recognise Kate, who continues to progress well through her induction as part of our relief pool. It’s been wonderful to see her confidence grow as she becomes more familiar with our routines and practices.

Staff Development and Training

This month, we participated in a network call with the Banana Moon Franchise, where new documents and resources were introduced to further enhance our practice and consistency across nurseries.

We also held our monthly staff meeting, which focused on celebrating good practice and sharing positive feedback. The team discussed fresh ideas and strategies for continuing to drive the nursery forward.

Additionally, we were delighted to receive observation and interaction training from Danielle and Alison from our local authority. This session offered valuable insights into supporting high-quality interactions with children.

Our three SVQ candidates continue to work closely with their training provider, who shared wonderful feedback about their progress and dedication—well done to them all!

Children’s Learning and Development

All key workers have completed and shared your child’s formative report via the parent app. These reports celebrate each child’s unique achievements and next steps in their learning journey. Thank you to all families who take the time to read and respond—your engagement is such an important part of your child’s development.

Looking Ahead

As the days get cooler and the leaves continue to fall, we’re excited to explore more autumnal activities and experiences with the children—think conkers, pumpkins, and lots of outdoor adventures!

Thank you to all our families for your continued support. Denmore remains a place of warmth, care, and community, and we’re grateful to share this journey with you all.
