October has been a busy and exciting month here at Banana Moon Denmore! We’ve had so many wonderful experiences, and we are delighted to share some highlights with you.

Halloween Celebrations
Our little ones had a spook-tacular time celebrating Halloween! From dressing up in their favourite costumes to enjoying themed activities, it was wonderful to see the children embracing creativity, curiosity, and lots of laughter.

Staff Development and Training
Our team has been hard at work enhancing their practice this month:

We’ve introduced a new and improved staff induction programme, ensuring all new team members feel supported and confident.

Staff have been learning in depth about the Banana Moon Wellbeing Pledges, reinforcing our commitment to the happiness and development of every child, their family and staff

Practice-based supervisions have taken place, giving staff and I the opportunity to set new goals and challenges while reflecting on achievements over the past six months.

Cairn training and Aberlour visited to meet with our staff completing their SVQ, and we’re thrilled to share Kayleigh is close to completing her qualification—well done!

Our team completed refresher sessions for annual training to stay up to date with best practices.

Supporting Families and Children

We’ve welcomed new children with settling-in sessions, and our staff have been observed providing incredibly nurturing support to help them feel at home.

Our stay and play sessions have been a fantastic way for parents to engage with their children’s learning and see our nursery in action.

We’ve been showing prospective families around, sharing the wonderful environment we’ve built for your children.

A visit from the locality lead for our preschool children went positively, reflecting the great progress our children and staff team are making.

Improvements and Operational Updates

We’ve upgraded our CCTV system to improve security and peace of mind for families and staff.

A call with the Banana Moon franchise network and a meeting with our franchise team helped us review the effectiveness of newly introduced paperwork and ways to continually improve our practice.

Special Celebration – Denmore Turns 1!
Finally, we are thrilled to announce that Denmore turns 1 year old on 13th November! It’s hard to believe it’s been a whole year since we welcomed our first child. Thank you to all our families, children, and staff for being part of this incredible journey—we couldn’t have done it without you!
