As we step into the heart of spring, May has brought us a fresh wave of energy and excitement at the nursery. We’re thrilled to share all the wonderful things that have been happening over the last few weeks.

🌱 **Growing Together – Staff Development & Recruitment

We’re delighted to announce that two of our Early Years Practitioners have signed up with Aberlour Futures to begin their SSCYP Level 7 qualification. This is a fantastic step forward in their professional journey, and we’re proud to support them in their growth.

With more families joining us, we’ve reopened interviews to expand our dedicated team. After a successful round, we found three fantastic new staff members who will be joining us soon—welcome aboard! We've also been completing inductions for our newest team members to ensure they feel confident and well-prepared in their roles.

To support continued development, we’ve begun our six-monthly practice-based supervisions, setting personal goals for each team member to help them flourish. Additionally, our wellbeing check-ins every four weeks continue to support a positive and healthy working environment.

👨‍👩‍👧 Welcoming New Families

It’s been a joy to welcome new families to our setting this month. We’ve loved showing prospective parents around our beautiful nursery and sharing what makes our environment special. Thank you for your trust—we can’t wait to make new memories together.

🐣 Easter Fun

Easter was a big hit with the children, who had a wonderful time painting boiled eggs and taking part in an exciting egg-rolling activity. It was a fantastic opportunity for creativity and fun, and the children's joy was contagious!

🔥 Health & Safety

This month, we conducted a fire drill, which was carried out smoothly and professionally. All staff demonstrated excellent knowledge of procedures—well done team!

In even bigger news, we are over the moon to have scored 100% on our first safeguarding audit, carried out by the franchise. This reflects the hard work, dedication, and vigilance of our entire team in keeping children safe—an incredible achievement we are all proud of.

🍌 Franchise Support 

We had the pleasure of welcoming Natalie from the Banana Moon Franchise to our nursery. It was a lovely opportunity to show her our setting and share the great progress we’ve made. We also took part in a supportive network call with fellow franchisees, exchanging ideas and inspiration to keep raising the bar together.

🎓 Preparing for Big School

We recently had a visit from a local primary school teacher, who came to see one of our children who will be leaving us in August. It’s always a proud yet emotional time as we support our little learners on their next adventure.
