Banana Moon Denmore – June Newsletter

Dear Families,

As we move into the heart of summer, our nursery continues to grow, thrive, and develop in exciting new ways! Here’s a little update on what we’ve been up to and what’s coming next.

Growing Together – Garden Project
We’re thrilled to share that developing our garden has been added to our Nursery Improvement Plan. We’re looking to create a more enriching, natural space for the children to explore, and we would love your help! If you have green fingers or gardening knowledge and would like to offer advice or support, please let us know. Together, we can make our outdoor space a truly magical place for learning and play.

A Warm Welcome
We’re delighted to welcome Mackenzie to our team! Mackenzie has already settled in beautifully and brings great enthusiasm to the nursery.
We’ve also welcomed new children and families to Banana Moon – it’s always a joy to see new friendships forming and little faces lighting up as they discover the world around them. We continue to show prospective families around the nursery and love sharing what makes our setting so special.

Staff Wellbeing at the Heart
At Denmore, we know that a happy team means happy children. Staff wellbeing remains one of our top priorities. We completed wellbeing supervisions monthly and continue to enjoy our morning coffee and chats before the nursery opens – a simple but powerful way to start the day with connection and care.

Inductions & Professional Growth
Several team members are now reaching the end of their 6-month induction period, and we’re so proud of their development. Ongoing inductions and support remain key to our success, and we’re committed to helping every staff member feel confident and capable in their roles.

New Operational Plan
Our updated Operational Plan is available to read in our entrance hall – This was created by our Franchise following a collaborative meeting with all the Managers across the Banana Moon network. The plan reflects our collective views, ideas, and requests, and sets a clear path forward for excellence in care and learning.

Monthly Staff Meetings & Team Spirit
Our monthly staff meetings continue to be a valuable time for reflection and connection. We discuss routines, share our monthly highlights and challenges, and come together as a united team. And of course – we enjoy a good blether while we’re at it!

Preparing for Inspection
We’ve been working hard behind the scenes in preparation for our first inspection, which we expect to take place in the near future. The team has shown great dedication, which i am extremely thankful for.
